If I was setting up a booth at a conference, I'd place it somewhere in the middle of the pack, based solely on my own preferences, for upon entering conferences I prefer to move quickly past the booths in front, unless snacks are provided in their vicinity, in order to discover snacks, then booths situated in the middle, after which I'll proceed from right to left, then back to front, until I've absorbed it all.
