NFL Conference Finals Picks

New England Patriots/Denver Broncos: Manning vs. Brady one more time. Broncos vs. Patriots one more time. Impossible to foresee what will transpire. But I'm picking the Broncos. Picking the Broncos by 14.

Arizona Cardinals/Carolina Panthers: Carolina has defeated the Cardinals in 9 of 14 meetings and plays at home this Sunday after having overcome the vaunted Seahawks of Seattle. But their offence didn't show up for the second half of that divisional match and they almost blew a 31-0 lead. This has happened before this season. It seems that the Panthers rest on their laurels. Arizona didn't convincingly beat Green Bay either. They struggled in the red zone and had to rely on a fluke touchdown to take the lead late in the game, which they blew in mesmerizing fashion. Perhaps, therefore, both teams will undauntedly execute painstakingly precise offensive punishments as they creatively clash for conference supremacy. Their points for and against are almost identical, their records close enough if you consider that the Cardinals didn't show up in week 17. Carolina's at home where this season they've played invincibly. But I'm picking Arizona deep down field. Hoping the Panthers don't smother them. Should be an outstanding game.
