Was monitoring the road in search of wildlife the other day, and I detected a hazy dark splotch in the distance. And this time it moved!, indicating that it was indeed some kind of living creature. Unfortunately, by the time we drove past, it had scampered into a small wetland, so I wasn't able to verify what it was, but it's still always nice to see the haze in the distance turn into something. It was probably a mink, but may have been a beaver or muskrat.

Or something else!
