Hiking through the woods is kind of like checking your mirrors when you're driving. Every 3-4 seconds, you look left, then right, and then twirl when you're supposed to check your rearview mirror (not necessarily in that order or according to that time length). This ensures extensive coverage and can lead to increased animal sightings. 🐻

If you love walking to specific spots, and always dislike having to leave them, note that if you occasionally twirl while walking, you see them an extra couple of times while you hike.

It's like I'm driving a car.

I look left, straight ahead, then right, straight ahead again, and then twirl, to see what's behind me (not necessarily in that order). 

Suits me well (as long as no one's watching).
