It's about being less cold, not warm. ⛄

Hiking through the woods is kind of like checking your mirrors when you're driving. Every 3-4 seconds, you look left, then right, and then twirl when you're supposed to check your rearview mirror (not necessarily in that order or according to that time length). This ensures extensive coverage and can lead to increased animal sightings. 🐻

If you love walking to specific spots, and always dislike having to leave them, note that if you occasionally twirl while walking, you see them an extra couple of times while you hike.

I'm working on my forest walk.

It's like I'm driving a car.

I look left, straight ahead, then right, straight ahead again, and then twirl, to see what's behind me (not necessarily in that order).

Suits me well (as long as no one's watching).

Went for a walk today for the first time in a while.

I haven't been walking as much since I quit smoking because I used to love smoking so much while walking.

But today I figured I should go for a walk in support of tonight's Bengals Super Bowl game.

Since people cheering for the Bengals around the world are likely engaging in feats of strength today, in order to create a widespread spiritual continuum promoting fierce good fortune, I didn't turn around when I saw the path was a sheet of ice, and that I'd have to follow that slippery sheet for about two-and-a-half kms.

I went for a long walk down Saint-Denis the last time the Broncos won the Super Bowl, and I thought a similar action was in order to support the Bengals.

Had to bushwack it a bit at times.

But it was fun.

I felt hardcore.

Go Bengals!

I didn't know walking and texting at the same time was frowned upon.

I thought it was a sign of coordination?

Whenever I'm lucky enough to go walking in the woods, I never listen to music.

I prefer to listen to natural sounds, birds and red squirrels and leaves rustling.

En ville, I often listen to my ipod while out and about, but last Friday I thought, "why not turn off the old ipod for a stretch and see if you can hear any chill urban birdsong?"

And I did hear birds communicating with one another as I made my way downtown.

I'm trying to develop a social motif wherein every time I walk past my roommate I say something pleasantly awkward.
