I gotta admit, I freakin' love it when star athletes show up for big games, and wow bob wow, Messi and Mbappé did not disappoint today. 2 goals for Messi, a hat trick for Mbappé, that was a final for the ages, too bad they both couldn't win. Nice to see Messi pick up a World Cup title though.

One thing I loved about Canada's play at the World Cup of Soccer: it looked like they were playing to win. Unfortunately, they didn't. But trying to win's so much better than winding up with three ties.

It's not too late to reschedule the games so that there are no conflicts with Thursday, Sunday, Monday, or even Saturday (late in the Season) Night/Afternoon/Late Afternoon Football.

Hey, I hope Canada and Québec rock it at this year's World Cup. First time I've been able to cheer for our home team since I was but a wee lad. Normally I cheer for Mexico, because the United States is just the best at so many other things (they can't have soccer and hockey too! 😎). I'd love to see them make the round of 16. After that: who knows!

Bearing last night's results in mind, imagine the NHL playoffs were set up like the NFL playoffs, or the World Cup of Soccer's elimination round, for a moment.
