Trucks

Machinery has on awkward occasion posed philosophical questions while at work, the consistent use of fuel-powered-entities blended with distraction leading to hypotheses.

Such theories no doubt imaginatively aided by consistently observing different narratives throughout life, the uncanny ludicrous application of televisual conceit to work and play.

But if oil and gas is eventually created as life inevitably dissolves, it was therefore once indubitably alive in possession of thought and spirit and appetite (Plato).

Machines inarguably seem inanimate when not turned on when lying dormant, with no fuel warmly generating power to encourage motion and requisite function.

But when active does the fuel they burn once composed of life once again draw breath?, ontologically igniting ancient schematics blueprints attuned to reanimation.

As the reignited organic material takes hold of the metallic construction, it nurtures different kinds of behaviour, which is why machines seem like they have personalities.

Thus, one takes it easy with older machines less intimately acquainted with flexible immediacy, while it's fun to reasonably play with brand new constructions recently made.

Trucks takes things to the next level and gleefully removes the human factor, the trucks indeed suddenly turning on their once unsuspecting masters.

As they take over the small town of Bridgeton there's little that the lords can do.

Besides try to find a way to get out of there.

Before machine-kind embodies absolute rule.

*Isn't this what you'd call crackpottery dad, machines coming to life and killing everyone?

**That's certainly an argument you can make son, although the off-kilter theory still mystifies.

*Tough to stop your mind from wandering when doing boring stuff, isn't it dad?

**It's helped to make so many cool stories.

*I still don't think machines are alive.

**You're probably right. But, really, who's to say?

*Sigh. Okay, maybe driverless cars are a bad idea.

**Good to keep humans in the loop son.

*No doubt. I don't know what I was thinking.

**A.I can't freakin' drive cars.

*Loved the station wagon.

Denouemental

The sensational appeal of easy money can't be ignored by local entertainers, hellbent on avoiding the grind through clever artifice and dissimulation.

A kind-hearted businessperson distantly known to them suddenly has need of traditional labour, steady jobs which the artists know and are capable of doing if thereby tasked.

Several of them find work in the lavish gardens and fertile fields, intuitively observing the distinguished peace of agile mind accompanying the demands.

Yet performance is their goal the sly creation of a play, to be effectively executed with awkward timing and hapless yet industrious wherewithal.

They hope to secure a healthy income through enticing advertising and swift delivery, and hope to convince the commercial architect to wholeheartedly fund their lithe endeavours.

They put on the show.

He takes it in.

And unfortunately notices that it's terrible.

The resigned actors and actresses noticing the same thing.

The group nevertheless applauding.

The actors continue to sincerely pretend that they've created an unmatched masterpiece, the captivating humour all-encompassing as rehearsals eclectically facilitate.

The kind-hearted patron sees no need to deconstruct their false impression, and rather enjoys the creative novelty and its distinct lack of flowing melody.

The question remains, will the public like it?, as opening night quickly descends.

Mutual appreciation shortly giving way.

To critical notice and descriptive admiration.

*Is this how films really get made dad?

**I'm afraid so son, I'm afraid so.

*Do any adults doing anything actually know what they're doing?

**If people like what they do, yes, otherwise, I'm afraid not.

*Sounds like growing up's just a huge waste of time dad.

**Many would agree with you son, although others may contradict you.

*Can we go out for ice cream?

**Yes, son, three scoops each.

Kitten Caboodle

They existed peacefully in unison, in balanced harmony with inclusive nature, enjoying the modest bounty of the land with humble reckoning and agile foresight.

Their species had known these comforts since time immemorial and everlasting, when a bold and crafty constructive divinity cleverly thought of a newfound plan.

He noted that the expansive landscape hadn't changed much in recent centuries, and thought that if one of his creatures had cultivating powers the resultant wilderness would be more dynamic.

In consultation with the chosen ones he clearly explained his wondrous plan, that they should henceforth build abundant dams with natural materials across the land

Many of the chosen animals had requisite questions in curious response, the inquisitive characteristics of their postures respectfully admired by their master.

He laid out the efficient plan in erudite detail with effective musing, taking into animate account regional differences and personality conflicts.

Yet even though the plan seemed fine and in fact brilliant from many perspectives, there were still those amongst them who thought it foolhardy and supercilious.

They complained of the extra work and how it would conflict with nutrient acquisition, and lazing about in the hot sun on warm summer days ad infinitum.

The others pointed out that dam construction would ensure food throughout the winter, and the nearby lodge a place to stay that couldn't be accessed by wolves or bobcats.

Still they refused to believe longing to keep to the olden ways, and struggle if needs be from month to month and day to day.

And the divinity became fed up and indeed supernaturally decreed, that the species would be separated into different groups forever after.

The beavers would have a special tail and be given the miraculous gift, to venture forth throughout the land constructing dams for all and sundry.

The muskrats would keep the tail of a rat and never change throughout the centuries, in close resemblance to their ancient brethren yet less industrious over the millennia.

I always thought beavers got the idea to build dams and lodges from watching birds build nests. Isn't that true dad?

It might be little Timmy. Although I must admit, I really can't say.

Web Spring

As far as I know, spiders spend a lot of time building webs.

They're not that concerned with acoustics.

Birds irritated one spider intensely however because they could produce such beautiful songs, and as far as he knew spiders could not, at least not up until that present day.

But they could make distinct webs consisting of varying degrees of strength, in sundry shapes and manifold sizes, they had an advantage from that point of view.

What to do with all that variety that was the frustrating engaging question, how to create mellifluous sound from the tactile strings composing their webs?

Then one day he was out and about testing web strength with an expert eye, when a sudden downpour caught him off guard and he slipped and fell onto a nearby leaf.

Yet as he slipped one of his legs dynamically plucked a heartfelt string.

And a wondrous sound was breathtakingly heard.

Soon to be accompanied in rhythmic jive.

It's a bit absurd to think about a spider's web like a versatile guitar string, as if the metallic nature of the pluck could be fibrously reproduced in nature.

Still, a compelling idea to think about spiders chill and jammin', throughout forests across the land at different speeds and variable tempos.

I liked how little Caleb taught the others how to play, and in their boredom they eventually created unique communal sounds ensemble.

Since different spiders have alternative sizes the resonant sounds of the sprightly webs, make for symphonic amplitudes after tuned to sonorous threads.

50 or 60 spiders playing their web guitars with eight arms apiece, would make for quite the orchestral gathering as it certainly does within the film.

I loved when the birds took part and graciously starting playing the compelling music.

Spider symphonies adaptively enchanting.

Naturalists through song.

*It's cool to watch spiders build webs.

**How did they evolve to do that?

Haranglutton

Disenchantingly, the voracious craze for oil & gas having yet subsided, the forlorn day melancholically came when planet Earth had no more oil.

Level heads had pleaded for centuries to smoothly facilitate a transition plan, but inherent greed and inestimable faith in the status quo were insurmountable.

Cultures had begun to rely on AI to make their decisions for them, and it had not foreseen the inevitable scarcity nor uttered warnings about its hardships.

It was highly relied upon as billions of people asked it relevant questions, and followed its advice with openminded standing throughout the complexities of daily life.

Without oil there was no AI and people had to think once again, the grand overbearing gloomy imposition leading to madness in the most domesticated.

The well-off had found subjective ways to creatively preserve their way of life, individually cut off from communities at large they made their way far off in the country.

Seeing their chance, the most ambitious of the disenfranchised raised their voices.

And exclaimed in heartfelt crescendo.

Their visionary ideas for a sustainable future.

Time and care is articulated taken to passionately construct the alternative speeches, opposing ideologies steadfastly interwoven within their stately verbose orthodoxies.

The lofty presentation of high-minded ideals makes an impact amongst the faithful, and seems to be winning the derelict day before it's exoterically confronted.

The here and now, the stresses of the moment the discovery of food for winter impressing, many people in its vigorous plea to indefinitely champion wants and needs.

It is a film I suppose, so what can be done when another group militaristically imposes, its brutal discipline and absolutist fervour throughout the helpless indoctrinated lands.

Unity of ideals and spirit still thriving.

In a mad doomsday Shakespearian scenario.

With a steady focus on a struggling family.

Loved the bear strolling through the woods in the end.

Through the Trees

Itinerant industry flexibly enabled as resourceful families seek continuity, their newfound country strange and mysterious in haunting possession of otherworldly customs.

The sudden realization that you're actually there and need to learn a new language, simple things like buying groceries much more confusing at the startling outset.

Finding work also a difficult task as cultural and linguistic barriers demotivate, yet perseverance and determination eventually lead to modest earnings.

Lodgings also tough to come by as rental negotiations require knowledgeability, yet with compassion and understanding rooms are eventually to be found.

Community contacts are gradually made as the enthusiastic immigrants settle, local networks providing help as they seek to learn more about their neighbourhood.

Other people in similar circumstances lend a hand and offer friendship.

But hostilities also emerge.

As communities struggle to get along at times.

The difficulties of learning a foreign language while simultaneously finding a job and somewhere to live, aren't lost on the filmmaking team as they showcase several scenes of inherent disillusionment.

The manifestation of sympathetic people seeking to lend a helping hand also works well, people noting the newcomer's courage and keenly responding with tips and aid.

The focus on how things start to level out as more time passes is skillfully done, the not-so-smooth-at-times integration effectively facilitating highs and lows.

The scenes at work help to diversify the narrative as several different characters tell their tales, immigration stories from all over the world humanistically told with hardboiled eloquence.

Communal celebrations add a festive touch as the years pass with energetic resolve, the coming together of various traditions sewing resilient interactive multiplicities.

The humble transference of their origins and customs fruitfully enhances local cultural narratives.

Adding transfigurating depth.

While keeping in mind local industry.

Kodiak Island

Lost in the isolated wilderness, a seemingly uninhabited island appears, forlorn and stern and lonesome, misty and murky yet tantalizing.

The crew readies to disembark with loyalty and integrity refining their style, the unknown nature of their immediacy subtly galvanizing intense sacrifice.

Shelter and food of primary concern a multivariable base camp soon established, to enable the exploration of the environment with intricate firm sure and steady observation.

At first sight, elaborate abandonment seems to be characterizing the verdant expanse, if there had been a settlement here at one time its durable remains seem to have disintegrated.

The first sighting of wildlife, rather large creatures harrowingly cultivating the land, although for what purpose remains a mystery as they humbly go about their business.

The general consensus is that they're guarding something far away in the embowered distance.

As fish arrive from the abundant flow.

Of nutritious heartfelt oceanic bounty.

It's impressive to watch as the adventurous team intently explore the newfound island, their clever techniques modestly guiding novel fruition and scientific expediency.

Upon the discovery of the inhabited enclave, the resultant dialogues regarding imminent immersion, reflectively demonstrate multilateral viewpoints concerning anticipated indefatigability.

The different attitudes were carefully crafted to forge a compelling literary argument, with open and closed minds debating how to meet the lay citizens without causing alarm or distress.

It was bright if not provocative to introduce theoretical hostilities, the realistic worries of the less warmhearted balancing the more gifted humanistic insights.

Which makes things all the better when the land is found to be occupied by chillaxed folk.

Who can freely teach them their local customs.

Celebration as opposed to conflict.

Wizards

Hellbent on absolutist discernment a mad wizard launches a war, his blind and terrorizing frenetic frenzy abolishing play and trust and dignity.

The hedonistic free and agile people dig in deep to wildly respond, exorcizing wave after demonic wave with unheralded self-sacrifice and bitter reckoning.

Another wizard heads into the fray and boldly sets out with determined accompaniment, of a joyful laidback disposition he'd much rather experiment or garden.

The outer reaches of the post-apocalyptic struggling world as of yet unaffected, distinct realms and brave communities sternly await combative discipline.

Humanistically inspiring for many long decades of settled reasonable cultivation, the Berlin Wall suddenly torn down, the neverending Cold War seemingly at an end.

The chillaxed Avatar a guiding focus exhaustively compelled to fight for good, even if he occasionally overlooks the antipathies unless directly tasked to acknowledge them.

Why the obsession with power the stilted desire to manage and control, a bunch of people who aren't listening anyway and prefer simple pleasures to grandiose conjecture?

Is it really that much more exciting to follow a madman off a cliff, than to accept innate multiplicities which spice and flavour peaceful wanderings?

Is your town not all the better off for the different restaurants found within, the Indian and Chinese outlets which succulently lead to sushi and phở and baklava?

Do you know how healthy it is for your mind when you start to learn a second language, and how alert and active it keeps you like brainiac caffeine culturally brewed?

These different groups that make up a community don't lead to chaos and division, they motivate change through curiosity as artistic works and athletics disseminate!

Immigration is the foundation of North America and will always be a dependable resource.

Without modest change there's no stability.

No reward or sacrifice.

It's fundamental.

The Blob

A quiet night in the peaceful countryside picturesque and romantic, delicate and adoring, a young couple familiarizes itself with the night sky through active stargazing and vigilant discernment.

When a gigantic meteor from deep within space suddenly lands nonchalantly nearby, a local woodsman out for a stroll in the vicinity taking a closer look.

At first everything seems fine it's just a rock harmless and nondescript, but after it cracks open a translucent goo gesticulates and wavers with distressing undulation.

The woodsman picks it up with a stick and then brings it to his hand for closer inspection, where it smothers his skin and absorbs his bones with greedy invasive absolutist hunger.

The young couple arrives to find him overwhelmed with pain and helpless frustration, they immediately agree to give him a ride to a local doctor who agrees to see him.

Back in town everything seems fine shenanigans alight - a dull even intensifies.

As the encumbering goo increasingly expands.

Aggressively digesting.

Every human it encounters.

It's clear that imminent space danger is posing a limitless unprecedented threat, and the grandiose resources of the entire world should be excessively deployed as a countermeasure.

A giant interconnected web of satellites should gallantly cloak the world complete, to boldly save our economic interests and definitively ensure that nothing gets through.

If North America, in consultation with the United Nations, comes up with the imposing ubiquitous design, aesthetically vetted by Québec, and humorously lampooned by Ontario, the effective blueprints should be ready in a fortnight, after which security will be impeccable.

Threats from space should only modestly take up around 3.5% of global budgets, and should we hunker down and buckle up there's no freakin' tellin' how much "ground" we'll cover.

I used to think the night sky was just a peaceful tranquil dome, effortlessly excelling at facilitating dreams and coordinating wise immaculate dominion.

But with the tangible threat of the enemy it casually obscures it must be tamed.

Like the frontier from The Last Starfighter.

Let's get 'er done!

Just in time for Christmas.

Voyage to the End of the Universe

A multifaceted communal space vessel patiently travels throughout the universe, destined to land on Alpha Centauri with the hopes of encountering alien life.

They harmoniously deal with the consistent boredom and stoically embrace their interminable routine, remaining awake for most of the journey instead of simply sleeping in cryo chambers.

With 40 crew members the potential for multiple different conversations and interactive alternatives, leaves many contented and active enough to overcome haunting claustrophobic anxieties.

They exist hundreds of years in the future where free thinking minds have championed peace, and as they smoothly accelerate through different solar systems they meet phenomena unknown yet familiar.

An old spaceship from Earth in fact which was wildly occupied by thrill seeking gamblers, which wasn't ready for the journey to deep space and slowly succumbed to murderous sickness.

An unforeseen deadly dark star adamantly blocks their progress as well.

Its radiation causing the entire crew to slumber.

Adventurers frightened they'll never wake up.

Not often you see celebrated commie cinema from the vilified Eastern Bloc no less, with its lucid focus on communal life and general commitment to studious exploration.

It's pioneering sci-fi a cut above what I've seen so far from that distant time (the 1960s), its elaborate sets and reasonable schematics not as antiquated as some older movies.

The introduction of the "capitalist" spacecraft with its reckless gambling and weapons of mass destruction, makes a clever differentiation from the less volatile communists who sought newfound knowledge and peaceful integration (in the movies).

It would be exciting to head into space on a miraculous ship destined for unknown galaxies, but the small town nature of its restrictive boundaries may have driven me crazy as time went by.

With no nature walks or animal sightings it would be like winter all the time, difficult to generate the same robust enthusiasm when there's little hope of extracurricular excursions.

But if you could consistently descend to uncharted planets that would totally be motivating, and go for walks through rugged bush never before encountered while searching for food.

Star Trek does make spacelife sound fascinating if don't face destruction every episode.

It would still be distressingly confined though.

Unlike the metropolitan island.

The Wild Robot

A helpful and benevolent domestic robot finds itself stranded in the wilderness, on an isolated island abounding with wildlife whom it initially can't comprehend.

It requires tasks, a role to fulfill, calling and purpose, industrious discipline, but the animals refer to it as a monster and tend to avoid making direct contact.

Except for an audacious fox who attempts to help it learn natural ways, after it uses its advanced programming to study the different languages the animals speak.

Unfortunately, one troubling day, while out and about doing this and that within the forest, it takes a tumble and accidentally falls on a nest of birds and kills the mother.

A baby survives however and now has no one to guide and nurture him, the harsh wilderness stepping in to potentially claim a helpless soul.

But the robot sees a task that can be fulfilled with warmth and friendship, the gentle nurturing of the chick through kind instruction and didactic teaching.

The fox hangs around and the oddball trio makes a name for itself in the wood.

The other animals curiously taking note.

Of the non-traditional heartwarming activities.

If you like North American wildlife and tender stories with a tough edge, working within the tradition of Terminator films without the focus on armageddon, you may come to love The Wild Robot with sincere unabashed expressive levity, it's thoughtful and well-done and has something to offer both adults and children.

The robot's like a much less bellicose humble Terminator who eventually learns the value of life, and how hard work and honest self-sacrifice produce sweetly flowing constructive communities.

It even builds a winter lodge that the animals stay in to keep warm together, it's like drinking-in-the-Jungle Book's-lagoon times 1,000 in terms of exceptional cool fictional animal gatherings (there's a lynx, an opossum [they cute!]), porcupines, a bear, raccoons, deer, everything, the wildlife coverage is phenomenal!).

With the elegant message, the eloquent lesson to move beyond limits and calculation, by employing kindness and warmth and empathy to the curation of life wherever it's found.

The variety is multidimensional and it effectively blends technology and nature.

To Live & Die in L.A

*Spoiler alert.

A dedicated cop three days from retirement investigates a lead and winds up dead, his partner vowing to swiftly find whoever killed him no matter what.

The suspect is a high-end counterfeiter nefariously known for exacting copies, but how to get in touch everything's been blown there's no simple way to track him down.

A skittish informant shares information relating to a different case, which at first seems somewhat useless until it's given a self-obsessed spin.

Money is to be exchanged between mutual no-good-nicks routinely unsupervised, and if they can quickly scoop up that loot, they'll have what they need to be in the running.

Unfortunately, they're cops, and this means they'll have to break the law, ethically aligned to the code of conduct indefinitely excelling in righteous caution.

They decide to go for it anyway and only barely escape with their lives.

Thinking congratulations abound.

Until they find out they've robbed one of their own.

It doesn't start out well ye old To Live & Die in L.A initially seems like it lacks depth, at least when compared with Endeavour or Frost or Columbo it strikes one as lacking intricate detail.

Friedkin's no obnoxious slouch however he'd already refined detective films way back when, and therefore seems to be ironically playing with uptight conventions through comedic irony in the opening moments (the veteran cop's methods at the beginning are really sloppy).

But as it unreels the bold and resultant unpredictable awkward yet resonant trajectory, audaciously revels and madly impresses with infantile ruses and crackerjack shakedowns.

Chaos, it's total chaos that keeps building 'til everything's fubarred, and wildly viewing the undisciplined nutjobs can't help but encourage cheer and applause (this is fiction not reality).

That is what seems like an old school bad movie which is somewhat undeserving of its cult status, insanely jukes and effectively gesticulates to bravely create a unique cop film.

The lead actor doesn't even have a ceremonious death he's just blown away and forgotten.

It tricks you into thinking it's dull and conventional.

And then unleashes renegade noir.

Mulan

Way back in the 1980s and ye olde '90s it seemed inevitable, that people would be chosen to play active roles based on their abilities as opposed to race or gender.

The continuous dissemination of progressive narratives interactively found in books, TV and film, encouraged the equitable development of equal opportunity across the land.

The absolute was definitively critiqued and humorously lampooned in multifarious flux, thousands upon thousands of alternative viewpoints productively shared with evocative gusto.

The open-minded ethos and shifting conclusions weren't wholeheartedly adapted by many, however, the subconscious desire for lucid answers effectively delivered much more enticing.

Not just for mathematical problems but for sociocultural and political dilemmas, their inherent fluctuating resilience and inconclusive nature somewhat frustrating.

In mathematics class, it's often enjoyable to find the right answer, indeed to know there's an actual answer that can be resolutely considered correct.

In language studies, it can be just as fulfilling to find multiple theses and reasonable alternatives, since concrete responses ne'er suffice due to multilateral layers of ambivalence.

Applying multiple layers of ambivalence to the exacting study of mathematics, systematically seems rather comical when effectively challenged by harnessed answers.

Just as the manageable adherence to absolute answers seems somewhat ludicrous from linguistic perspectives, as culturally broadcast again and again by various sitcoms in the United States.

But as the '90s faded, and new technologies become more prominent, the old school ambiguous linguistic efficiencies began to lose ground to mathematical absolutes.

And Trump found himself elected again by a people seeking political absolutism.

The spirit of the '80s and '90s is still out there no freakin' doubt, but it's not as widespread as it used to be in many regions across the U.S.

But where it still resides equal opportunity likely also exists, and should young Mulans vigorously seek non-traditional roles they will hopefully find them.

It's so distressing to see such incredible intellects like Kamala Harris or Hillary Clinton defeated by a guy like Trump (it's not just that they lost, it's that they lost to a guy like that).

Who seems like he would have failed kindergarten.

Because he never learned to share.
