I have to admit that I'm not that familiar with Kirk Douglas's work, but I did rent Ace in the Hole three weeks ago and it's another Criterion gem.

He has a presence in the film that's rare and unique and keeps you focused in each and every scene.

I remember a time when I eagerly looked forward to the release of the new Michael Douglas film, who no doubt learned his intriguing chops from his exceptional father.

*Still look forward to new Michael Douglas films but I haven't seen him in much for the last 15 years.
