Terence Stamp will always be an iconic Superhero-Film Arch-Villain for me. Mostly because he seems way more like an intellectual or a Shakespearean actor than the ruthless General Zod. Not that he doesn't play the part well, he excels in the role, but he isn't beefy or muscular, he seems more like the headmaster of a school you'd never want to be sent to, given the unlikely role of a lifetime, when Superhero films were still in their infancy, notably standing out in defiance of Marlon Brando.
