The longer you go without eating meat, the more your body adjusts to the new cuisine your eating.

For instance, I used to look forward to a cube of beef while eating various dishes, and, after eating vegetarian food primarily for months in Montréal (I still eat meat when visiting family to avoid awkwardness), I found myself looking just as forward to cubes of potato or butternut squash, depending upon what I was eating.

It's working.

When I'm considering food items to purchase, and the temptation to buy meat strikes, I think of cute pigs, cows, chickens, etc., and purchase vegetarian options instead.

I do eat meat when visiting relatives if they are consuming animals for dinner however.

If there is no vegetarian option, I'm at the movies and they've sold out of vegetarian and cheese pizza for instance, I will order a pepperoni slice, but that's just because I eat meat so rarely that one slice doesn't hurt much.

Is pepperoni technically meat?
