Wind

Parlance resting in reeds blowing
pastimes fitted to forces
chosen by manners, histories,
appeal, breaking, making
things new casting a fortune
trained for a purpose moving
in circles by the window
outside snowflakes lightly
drifting slowly falling t'wards
the bank, the branch, the brim,
on the bus before the casino
reading a magazine memorizing
details of the road.
