Ideology

Fred never cooked anything or helped out much with the housework. He had a loving wife and two daughters and they tended to take care of such things. As his daughters matured, one, by the name of Amelia, began studying progressive approaches to the distribution of domestic labour, and became increasingly more agitated by her family's situation. Her arguments became more pronounced, articulated more precisely and acutely as her theoretical knowledge became more practical in a rhetorical sense. But when her father finally buckled, and she came home to find him vacuuming after having cleaned the kitchen, the picture he cast unconditionally broke her heart, and she struggled to think of something to say.
