Sometimes, if I'm not paying any attention and approach whatever half-assedly, I'll remember it forever. At other times, I'll go over a concept 20 zillion times and still *&^% it up on a test.

Sometimes, if I don't pay attention at all to my lover, things work out well and the relationship progresses. At other times, I take the relationship seriously and it turns into a disaster.

Therefore, in order to progress, I have to make sure to unconsciously pay attention (thereby living the dream).
