I don't think a film's going to come out anytime soon about pandemics or COVID-19, so I should mention that as cases expand around the globe I'm becoming increasingly worried. There aren't that many cases in Canada but Italy didn't have that many cases until recently either, and now it's on full-on lockdown. I think it's best to listen to what the experts are saying (like wash your hands regularly, stay home if you feel sick etc.), and hope it fades as the Spring progresses (and doesn't start spreading throughout the southern hemisphere). Probably not a good time to travel internationally either unless you need to. Hoping things don't get worse. Hoping COVID-19 leads to a significant decrease in the consumption of wild animals worldwide too. Maybe it's a good time to let all the wild animals slated to be consumed by humans go, let them loose back into the wild. If things do get worse and more time has to be spent at home, it could be a good time to finish all those projects you've been meaning to take care of for some time, but haven't gotten around to for one reason or another. If work comes to a general stop perhaps bills should be forgiven during that time period, and workers working in essential services should be paid at a much higher rate than their regular wages. But it really hasn't come to that yet, and there still aren't that many cases in Canada. Hopefully it stays that way. Prudence and caution, exercise prudence and caution. A good book. Board game action.
